Setting Yourself Up for Success in Your Freedom Lifestyle

In my Twenty Somethingish years of existence I have realized that I am completely unproductive in the evening. On the contrary I am very productive in the morning. Since my current apartment does not have an extra room that I can convert to an office I have a very hard time focusing and getting work done when I am at home. Give me a coffee shop and a fresh cup of coffee and I am in my zone.

The biggest challenge thus far in creating my freedom lifestyle has been that I am my own boss. There is no one measuring my productivity or telling me what I need to do. It has become my own responsibility to have the self discipline to be productive and efficient on a daily basis.

Here’s my regimen for a successful day:

~Wake up – Cause first thing’s first.
~Set my MIA’s for the day – Setting my MIA’s (most important actions) is new and something that is helping me a lot. By setting the top 2-4 things I need to do gives me intentions for the day and gives me a sense of accomplishment once achieved.
~Put on nice(ish) outfit  – I may not have a dress on everyday but dressing well makes me feel good. Wearing yoga pants all day makes me want to be lay on the couch and binge watch Netflix. It makes me feel tired and less motivated. Plus, fashion is fun.
~Go to the coffee shop – After I get dressed I go to the coffee shop. I try to set an intention for how long I will be there before I go. I usually like to spend at least four hours a day, everyday towards my blog. After I order my coffee I grab a table, set up my lap top and get to work.

After today’s challenge I am looking into the Pomodoro Technique. Hey, anything to boost efficiency!
